Adventure Day Camp is a traditional day camp for children ages 4-14. In a low pressure, relaxed atmosphere, children gain confidence and skills in a wide range of summer camp activities. Bay Area Shakespeare Camps provide a fun and creative environment where kids ages 7-18 get into the act! Camps will accommodate new performers as well as those with experience.
Sessions are led by trained and experienced teaching artists (working actors, stage managers, directors, and designers), who have been trained for Shakespeare Camps.
Camps meet for two-weeks, Monday – Friday, 9:00 am – 3:00 pm, with optional aftercare at most locations until 5:30 pm.
Campers stage a mini-Shakespeare play, for an audience of family and friends, on the final day of camp.

Bridging the Gap: First Grade Reading Readiness
Bridging the Gap is a game and activity oriented program for graduating kindergartners entering first grade. It is designed for children who would benefit from a summer “tune-up”, including children with special learning or language needs. Dr. Ariel Lenchner will be conducting a series of 2 two-week classes, July 7-17th, and July 21-31st, for small groups of kindergarten graduates focusing on skills most useful for first grade success. Our trained peer-parent staff members answer common questions regarding a child’s disability, offer guidance through complicated services systems, help to locate community resources, and provide emotional support. The Family Resource Network offers a number of activities and resources specifically for teens and young adults ages 12-21 and their families including a very popular Teen Social Recreation Group in partnership with City of Berkeley Parks and Recreation.

Since 1989, the Roleplay Workshop has offered the unique Abantey roleplay programs for youth, promoting student self esteem, problem solving skills, creativity and social skills. The program uses an interactive storytelling game to teach real life skills in a creative, imaginary setting. STAGE DOOR CONSERVATORY is based in Berkeley and offers instruction in acting, singing, dancing and set design and performance opportunities in musical theater to children in the 3rd through 12th grade. Each of our sessions concludes with the staging of an actual production. Everyone who participates in our programs becomes part of a supportive ensemble, developing skills not only in theater, but in collaborating with others. All children are welcome to participate, and auditions are not required for enrollment! |

Take My Word For It!" Creative Writing and Book Arts Camp for Girls is an exciting place to indulge your daughter's creativity this summer.
Led by Chabot Elementary School parent and after school provider, Sondra Hall, and Chabot faculty member and after school provider, Alice Armstrong.
Camp is for girls, ages 9-12, and will be held at Tehiyah Day School in El Cerrito.

THIS LAND IS YOUR LAND Summer Day Camp for children ages 5 to 15 blends the exciting science and nature studies developed by Sarah Shaffer, with art, music, hiking, swimming, and outdoor games. Our goal is for every child to have a summer filled with outrageous fun in a beautiful, wild, natural setting. We say, "No child left indoors!"
Each week your child will work on two hands-on projects per day related to our weekly themes, which include
Catapults and Castles: Medieval Science, Crazy Color Contraptions, Terrific Transformers, and Rockin' Robots. Camp runs June 16 to August 29 at Roberts Regional Park in Oakland and Tilden Park in Berkeley , and July 7 to August 15 at Little Hills Ranch in San Ramon. |

VisionTech is the only non-profit technology camp in the Bay Area that provides year-round after school enrichment programs for kids ages 6-17. Anita Khurana, founder and Program Director of VisionTech Camps and Classes, values the progressive direction that our world is moving into. New careers demand a high aptitude of technology knowledge from college graduates, and VisionTech encourages teaching these values at a young age. Some kids can mistakenly believe that careers in technology are limited. When kids experience VisionTech’s programs, they are exposed to exciting technology career paths such as Robotics Engineering, Game Development or Modeling, and Film Making. |
