Adventure Day Camp is a traditional day camp for children ages 4-14. In a low pressure, relaxed atmosphere, children gain confidence and skills in a wide range of summer camp activities. Activities include arts, sports, swimming, canoeing, kayaking, sailing, rock climbing, tennis, horseback riding, archery, drama, music, hiking, overnight campout, and much more. Children are assigned to small groups with one adult counselor. Home transportation is available from most areas including Oakland and Berkeley. |

For over 49 years, Cal Youth Camps have served the Bay Area community. Our camps offer exposure to a variety of activities and sports in a less competitive environment. We design our programs to provide kids with a summer season full of adventure, friendship, confidence building, and fun.

Doug's Drama is again offering four, 2-week summer drama camps, now in our 22nd summer in the East Bay. Each session focuses on the production of a full- length play to be presented to the parents on the final evening of the session. In addition to rehearsing the play, the children do theater games, creative drama, and storytelling.

This summer, we have dance and musical theater classes for pre-school to middle schoolers.
Dance Adventures (ages 3-5) 9:00-12:00
Campers explore weekly themes in a magical dance experience. Story dances are brought to life through costumes, props and crafts made daily. Dance Experience (ages vary) 1:00-5:00. Whether doing Hip-hop/Break Dancing, ballet, or tap (to name a few) dancers will refine dance moves and learn to improvise moves to music selections. All levels welcome. Little Musical Theater (ages 4-8) 1:00-5:50. For the child who loves to sing, dance and act. Campers learn a mini musical with all the costumes, lights, microphones and scenery in a supportive, stress free environment.
Musical Theater (incoming 1st-7th graders) 9:00-1:00 or 4:00 Extended care available. This is for campers ready for a slightly higher level of commitment to produce a polished production. Acting skills, projection techniques, development of character, accents, vocal techniques, and dance skills are explored. ROLEPLAY WORKSHOP
(Ages 10-18)
Since 1989, the Roleplay Workshop has offered the unique Abantey roleplay programs for youth, promoting student self esteem, problem solving skills, creativity and social skills. The program uses an interactive storytelling game to teach real life skills in a creative, imaginary setting. Workshops are led by an adult game master who provides a supportive mentoring environment. The staff are experienced with students with a variety of learning styles.
We offer week long summer day camps, after school programs, weekend programs, school holiday programs and special event programs.

STAGE DOOR CONSERVATORY offers children the opportunity to experience the joys of musical theater and performance, whatever their level of prior experience. Based in North Berkeley for 15 years, we offer three camps including Kids on Stage (grades 3 – 5/four consecutive two-week sessions beginning June 27), On Broadway (grades 5 – 9/one six-week session beginning June 20) and Teens on Stage (grades 8 – 12/one six-week session beginning July 5). Instruction in singing, acting, dancing, costuming and stage craft. Campers rehearse and perform in a musical play, learning to express their own unique "spark" as a performer. This year, our older campers will perform "Hairspray'' and ''Les Miserables - School Edition” while younger actors will perform in plays like ''Free to Be – You and Me.” Tuition is $325/week however we have also allocated funds to to provide FINANCIAL AID to 36 children from financially stressed families attend our summer programs at no to low cost.
