For over 49 years, Cal Youth Camps have served the Bay Area community. Our camps offer exposure to a variety of activities and sports in a less competitive environment. We design our programs to provide kids with a summer season full of adventure, friendship, confidence building, and fun.

We offer both focused single-activity programs and “sampler” multi-activity programs. Our camp line up includes activities such as swimming, soccer, lacrosse, volleyball, gymnastics, sailing, windsurfing, kayaking, rock climbing, skateboarding, science, drama, art and nature.

Training for leadership in life and in camp activities including sports, music, drama, dance, art, skateboarding, community service. Our week will include a one day beach trip including a chance to try surfing. We will plan and host a party for other teens Friday evening August 7. Everyone who successfully completes Teen Leadership will be invited to be a Teen Counselor for Camp Elmwood August 10-14. This is a free program. Located at the doorstep of Yosemite National Park, on the middle fork of the Tuolumne River, on 160 acres in the Stanislaus National Forest, Camp Tawonga has been a leader in Jewish camping since 1925. Campers attend summer sessions at our Yosemite location, or can choose one of our Teen Adventure Quests that travel throughout Yosemite, Canada, the Pacific Northwest, and the Southwest. Children's Fairyland

Every day has a fairytale beginning and ending at Children’s Fairyland summer day camp. Our richly imaginative one-week program for kids ages 5 (kindergarten) through 10 combine theater, stories, arts and crafts, and playtime in our ten-acre storybook theme park. Each week we focus on tales from a different country, and every week ends with the children performing a show based on one of those tales.

Communication Works (CW) is a team of licensed and certified speech, language and occupational therapists who provide speech services, early intervention and social learning groups for children with speech, language and social challenges in the Bay Area.

CW offers two fun participatory summer programs for children. Our six-week group program Making Connections offers kids a safe environment to plan community outings and practice social thinking and related social skills. Our two-week program SuperFlex is a drama-based summer camp that supports social learning for children ages 7-10.

The Danceversity World Dance summer program provides instruction in cultural dance forms, including Middle-Eastern, Indian, Balinese, African, Polynesian, Caribbean, South American, and European folk dance techniques.

ROLEPLAY WORKSHOP

(Ages 10-18)

Since 1989, the Roleplay Workshop has offered the unique Abantey roleplay programs for youth, promoting student self esteem, problem solving skills, creativity and social skills. The program uses an interactive storytelling game to teach real life skills in a creative, imaginary setting. Workshops are led by an adult game master who provides a supportive mentoring environment. The staff are experienced with students with a variety of learning styles.

THIS LAND IS YOUR LAND Summer Day Camp for children ages 5 to 15 blends the exciting science and nature studies developed by Sarah Shaffer, with art, music, hiking, swimming, and outdoor games. Our goal is for every child to have a summer filled with outrageous fun in a beautiful, wild, natural setting. We say, "No child left indoors!"

Each week your child will work on two hands-on projects per day related to our weekly themes, which include Catapults and Castles: Medieval Science, Crazy Color Contraptions, Terrific Transformers, and Rockin' Robots.  Camp runs June 16 to August 29 at Roberts Regional Park in Oakland and Tilden Park in Berkeley , and July 7 to August 15 at Little Hills Ranch in San Ramon.

The Young Actors' Theatre Camp (YATC) is an overnight theatre training intensive held twice a year in the San Francisco Bay Area.  Students from all over the country come together to learn from amazing teachers from San Francisco, Los Angeles and New York ~ working professionals from Film, Television and Broadway!
